We fix gas and electric dryers across Dallas–Fort Worth. The $150 service call is waived with the repair, and parts and labor are covered for 90 days.
Problems we fix, and the usual causes
- Tumbles but no heat. On electric dryers, the heating element, a thermal fuse or the high-limit thermostat. On gas, the igniter or gas valve coils.
- Takes two or three cycles. Most of the time it’s a clogged vent. After that, a weak element or a bad cycling thermostat.
- Motor hums, drum won’t turn. Broken belt, a seized idler pulley, or the motor.
- Squealing or thumping. Drum rollers, idler pulley or drum glides wearing out.
- Won’t start. Door switch, start switch, thermal fuse or the motor.
- Shuts off after a few minutes. Overheating from a blocked vent, or a motor that’s failing.
Pull the dryer out and look at the vent hose behind it. If it’s crushed or packed with lint, clean or replace it, and check that the outside flap opens when the dryer runs. A blocked vent causes long dry times and blown thermal fuses. See dryer takes forever.

Repair or replace?
Belts, rollers, elements, igniters and fuses are inexpensive fixes. Dryers are simple machines, so repair makes sense far more often than replacement.
