We fix gas and electric stoves, ranges and cooktops all over Dallas–Fort Worth. The $150 service call is waived when we do the repair, and the work is covered for 90 days.
Problems we fix, and the usual causes
- Gas burner clicks but won’t light. Usually a dirty or cracked igniter, a burner cap that’s sitting crooked, or a wet spark module after a boil-over.
- Gas burner won’t click at all. A spark switch on the knob, the spark module, or a loose wire.
- Electric coil burner dead. The coil itself, the socket it plugs into, or the infinite switch behind the knob.
- Glass-top element stays off or stays on high. Element, infinite switch or a relay on the control board.
- Oven part won’t heat. Bake or broil element on electric models. On gas, the oven igniter is the most common part we change.
- Control panel beeps or shows a code. Often a bad temperature sensor or a door lock problem after self-clean.
If a gas burner won’t light, pull the cap and grate, let everything dry, and set the cap back flat. That fixes more boil-over calls than you’d think. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas company first. See gas stove won’t light.

Repair or replace?
Igniters, switches, elements and sensors are reasonable fixes on almost any range. Control boards cost more, and on an older low-end range we’ll tell you if the board costs too close to a new stove to make sense.
