LG Washer Error Codes
LG washers tell you a lot through the display. These are the common codes. Some vary by model, so check your manual too.
Common codes
| Code | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| OE | Won’t drain. Clean the drain filter, check the hose for kinks. |
| UE | Unbalanced load. Redistribute and run spin only. |
| IE | Water isn’t coming in fast enough. Check that the valves are open and the inlet screens are clean. |
| dE | Door isn’t locking. Make sure nothing is caught in the door. |
| LE | Motor locked or sensor problem. Often needs a tech. |
| tE | Heater or temperature sensor problem. |
| PE | Water level sensor problem. |
| FE | Overfilling. Usually the inlet valve or the level sensor. |
| CL | Child lock is on. Not a fault. Hold the child lock button to turn it off. |
What to do
Clear the simple ones yourself (OE, UE, IE, dE, CL). If a code keeps coming back, or you see LE, tE, PE or FE, call us.
