LG Washer Not Spinning
On LG washers, a no-spin problem usually shows up with an error code. UE means the load is unbalanced, OE means it can’t drain, and dE means the door isn’t locking.
Common causes
- UE code. The load is unbalanced. Common with small loads or one heavy item.
- OE code. Drain filter or pump clogged, or a kinked hose.
- dE code. Door lock or door switch problem.
- LE code. Motor locked or the motor’s sensor is acting up.
- Worn suspension or bearings. The washer shakes too much to reach full spin.
Checks you can do safely
Turn off power (and water or gas where it applies) before you reach inside any appliance.
- Even out the load and run spin only.
- Clean the drain filter behind the bottom-front panel.
- Check the door closes without forcing it.
- Check the washer is level and doesn’t rock.
